ABOUT GUTSY

Is this £5 bottle of Kombucha worth it for the health benefits? What does it actually do? Should I just take a supplement instead? Is this all just another food fad?

These were the endless questions I was hearing back in 2015 while working for private clients, so I went on a mission to find out more, but I quickly discovered there was a serious lack of resources online, and very little conclusive scientific data. I wanted evidence based, inspiring information. Where could I find out more? 

I decided to create Gutsy : The Gut Health Guide, to help others that were asking the same questions I was, and still are today.

When I was first introduced to fermented foods and gut health I was so inspired, but equally had so many questions wondering if this REALLY was the best approach to healthy eating? Year after year, I have been discovering more about this topic, and meeting fascinating people, and have concluded that this really is a healthy trend that is here to stay.

Gutsy functions as a resource, to inform and inspire, but also point you in the direction of the best products, books, equipment and resources to help you to make choices that work for you to lead a healthier, gutsy life.

I have experienced first hand that a healthier gut supports a healthier body, and in turn effects so many other systems in your body - immunity, stress, weight, mental health.

I hope you will join me to discover this for yourself as well.

We are not here to paralyse you with too many facts and figures, but simply inspire you to start tuning into your own gut by explaining why this is a positive move.

We have done the hard work for you and compiled bite-sized information, which can help you on your journey.

Our commitment is to provide the highest standards of evidence based gut health information in an appropriately easy to digest format.

WHO IS GUTSY FLORA?

Gutsy Founder

I thought by now I would have grown past the poo chat, but here I am aged 30 something, and loving the toilet talk more than ever.

I grew up nourished by home-grown tasty vegetables, covered in microbes. Only now can I truly appreciate and understand how lucky I was.

I created Gutsy after years working as a private chef across the globe. I saw mounting frustrations in my clients as they jumped from one elimination diet to the next, cooking with only “superfoods”, and following endless fads.

I first stumbled across fermenting in 2015, since then I have been opened up to the world of gut health, microbes, and fermenting. It is my mission to share my inspiration with others through this website, events and online courses.
